Like many big events, my discovery of the Kinks Preservation Society
started very quietly, precisely in early 1998 (it's nearly ten years!), with a
Yahoo search on the Kinks. I stumbled into Rob Kopp's address, who in turn
recommended I join the KPS. And so I did - one of the best things I've ever
done. Great friends, intelligent discussions, wonderful insights and nifty music
not only by the Kinks and their members but also from fellow KPSers - and all
koordinated by none other than Neil Ottenstein, the best talent catalyser and
organiser this side of Shel Talmy, Leiber & Stoller and George Martin - all
put together, of course!
So Neil, here's wishing you the bluest skies - and on to many times more
3000 digests!
